Photoshoot 1

The first photoshoot I conducted was to aim and take photos of real events going on in the college. I practised different types of shots such as:

  • The framing of the image - For this I used object and scenery that was already there in order to make my subject the main centre of the image

  • Composition - This is putting objects in the image in a position that fit around the environment to make it look professional and also to stand out.

  • Shot size - Practising different shot sizes such as a medium close up and extreme close up for example allowed me to understand the importance of where the camera is aimed and how close or far away it is from the subject to make sure you are getting the best picture possible

  • Contrast - Using a unique colour in the image that stood out from other colours around it made images more powerful in a sense than others

Here are the images I took during the photoshoot.

Here is an example of one of these original photos I took and then edited in Photoshop through cropping and retouching the image

In Photoshop I cropped out part of the outer edge on the image I didn't want. After that I adjusted the brightness, contrast and the output levels. It created a bit of a darker image.
